Margarita City: A treat for me, all by my lonesome

Disclaimer, this was not my first experience at Margarita City, nor will it be my last. When hunting for good Mexican food there are three different styles: authentic, cheap, and filling. In my experience, usually only two of the three can be met. Margarita City, however, has broken this barrier. Although this was a delivery order, not an in-person experience, the quality was top-notch. The efficiency was incredible as well. It took but a mere 32 minutes from order placement to delivery drop off. The rumblings of my tummy were satiated faster than it took to finish an episode of Love Island USA. Normally, I am steadfast believer in the “Tour of Mexico.” A dish so aptly named because it represents a culinary tour of our neighbors to the south. I shamelessly fill the table with five plates just for myself, but for $16, who can blame me? This time, however, my cravings desired just the Chiles Poblanos and a beef burrito, my two favorite items from the tour. I took the plunge and ordered something familiar but packaged differently. Regret? Well, regret is the one thing I did not have about this order. Although a bit costlier than a Tour, ordering the a la carte burritos and the Chiles Poblanos meal was delicious. Perfectly cooked peppers loaded with delicious cheese and smothered in an equally delicious sauce. Similarly, the burritos were equally good. Both were good enough that I took a step back and decided to save a burrito and pepper for my lunch the next day. I was immensely full for the remainder of the night. The free chips and salsa included in my order helped with that and are a nice touch considering they give them to you in person at the restaurant as well. Overall, I’d rate my experience as a 9/10. Theres not much I would change about the experience. As for why it's not a perfect score, well I think that would be achievable if I had been able to enjoy a margarita with the meal. Alas, compromises must be made, and it was not a large one. When visiting the capital region, Margarita City is highly recommended any time of day and for any occasion.
